Belvoir Castle, 2005

We attended a car rally at Belvoir Castle and we 4 "girls" took a stroll into the gardens. Way before I knew anything about photography. I perched my tiny Canon ixus on a small piece of wall, set the self timer and nipped back to the bench. Only later did I realise that we were all wearing bold, solid colours and were all crossing our legs the same way. Our mum on the right (died 2021) and her sister on the left (in home since 2017) my sister and me. All smiling and being happy. This photo hangs in our downstairs toilet, and it struck me today it would make an entry for this week's theme. It brings me much happiness.

jazzie Definitely a perfect entry for the theme! It is these four cheerful women, unposed, that make this picture so great. Imagine if you had directed the poses and sorted colours; the picture would have lost all its spontaneity.
