The 1972 work of architect Kisho Kurokawa. A new concept is to attach a capsule (looks like a washing machine) which is a minimalist living space, to a shaft. It was called "metabolism architecture" because the capsules are interchangeable.
Although dismantling was decided once in 2007, the subsequent financial shock collapsed the construction company and the plan disappeared. Since then, it has not been maintained as the designer intended, so it has problems with air conditioning and lifelines.
This building like the collection of washing machines is not easy to use, but includes the future-oriented, rationalism and minimalism of the 1970s, and those who like it have been living in it for a long time.

Edward Chang Great! This is a quite famous fabircted structure building that designed by a master. Even through it looks like a little bite older, but it’s still great.
