Floods

Been a busy and challenging day for all the residents in the village. Apparently this car was abandoned at about 5am; the water actually rose to above the steering wheel. Many homes flooded, 75m of an old 2m tall brick wall pushed over by the force of water but no-one hurt.

In Queensland there's a slogan of "If it's flooded, forget it" because of how dangerous floodwaters can be.

tigg Probably wise. In another village, and the video was on television news, a man waded through the water as he noticed there was a woman stuck in a car. She had been there over 2 hours!

tigg Thank you - it has. The brook in the village looks normal winter level now. Lots of clearing up to be done, and drying out of properties.
