Macro sharpness fine tuning

I hardly expect answers on my profile so I repeat the issue here: how do you finetune the sharpness when shooting macro with its shallow DoF [not only] in the studio? Field monitor, laptop, something else? For me, controlling the sharpness only on camera's LCD is not enough... or I am just getting blind :/

Satoshi T I love taking pictures of 1:87 sized miniature trains. Like you, I am struggling with the DOF becomes very narrow at macro shooting. I mainly focus on the depth direction by Optical tilt method "Optical experiment". I confirm focus on a small LCD of the camera, not a big monitor on the PC.

Maciek Korsan you can always do focus stacking, youtube.com/watch?v=fJiEw4VCcY...

Jacek In live view in my camera i can magnificate some picture area. This, plus high speed serial photo and small camera move, work fine for me.
