I just want to say hallo! This is my first day, please give me some time to get used to a new role. I will start posting on Facebook and Instagram soon. I am happy to listen to your ideas and complaints to make Tookapic, much more vibrant place. What makes me good choice for a new role is that I remeber good times of Tookapic from my own experience. tookapic Thank for your input it will be added to list of things to be discused in future for change. I personaly agree that such feature can be usefull and important. If your project is a daily diary some pictures you want ro keep only for your family.
Teresa I totally agree! That would be awsome to have! Often I choose some not so well photos because others I would prefer to keep private! So good idea
Basia Jedną z rzeczy, którą uczy projekt 365 jest to, że codziennie nie można być mistrzem. To nie konkurs, a projekty bardzo osobiste. Oczywiście, boli mnie kiedy muszę opublikować kiepskie zdjęcie, ale takie dni też muszą być, bez nich to tylko "instagram" z ładnym nierealnym życiem.
Magda Korzewska Cała prawda, dla mnie opcja ukrywania dni to tylko sprawa prywatności osób które chcę uwiecznić danego dnia. Nie mam problemu z pokazaniem swoich „strike” foto.
Teresa As for me I would hide personal photos. That's what I ment, i sometimes wish to post some but they are not for publicity. When I scroll my photos sometimes I feel its not as personal as i wish it to be.

Paweł wanted members to improve their photography skills. Some time ago there was a button to mark if you would like to receive Feedback on your photo. This was a tool to encourage users give constructive Feedback to author. It was not so popular, very little people used it. Reality is that many of users are just begginers and they can just tell „I like your photo” but are not in favoure to give negative/constructive Feedback.
I am not sure if people would hide strike photos,they also need attention from other users.

There were times when I had a bad day and doubted my abilities. Then I opened a gallery of people who have been here for several years and are doing a great job. I mean photographers whom I really admire and would like to reach the same level as them. I set the gallery to "oldest first" and watched the progress these people made. It always cheers me up, it shows that regular work on yourself allows you to achieve amazing results. This is something Tookapic teaches. And I've always appreciated that.
If everyone starts hiding their worse photos, we will become another Instagram that shows only the best. I think that these "worse photos" are a valuable lesson not only for ourselves (to cure ourselves of perfectionism), but also for new people who will come here - that it can't always be perfect, but it's always part of progress.
tookapic It is a pity Avanti left, nevetheless his idea about private pictures is something I will disscuss with Jarek.
jazzie Maybe it was not the right platform for him. I think most of us agree on what @kazikowo descrived very well. Hiding 'bad' or streak pics and showing just the 'best of' is just not what Tookapic is about, but part of the game 😃. When a situation is too personal I try to take or chose a pic that tells about the situation without showing too much. For instance in this pic "...tein or dein?" I did want to show something about my relationship with my godgirl without showing her face.
