Hey everyone, especially users of programs of DxO family and Capture One. Is someone here, who uses Photo Lab for Fujifilm cameras and can share an honest opinion about the workflow and developing?
Unfortunately Capture One decided to close the free "Express" version and I'm currently looking for a photo-editing software successor for personal use. DxO with two last editions showed very good skills in demosaicing, noise reduction and reproducing colors of Fujifilm sensors.
williebailey Hey there! I've been in a similar boat after Capture One discontinued their Express version, so I totally get where you're coming from. I've been using DxO PhotoLab with my Fujifilm X-T4 for a few months now, and it's been a pretty solid experience. The way it handles Fujifilm's X-Trans files, especially with DeepPRIME noise reduction, is impressive. I noticed that the demosaicing is really clean, with minimal artifacts, and the colors are true to what Fujifilm's known for. The workflow might take a bit of getting used to if you're coming from Capture One, but once you get the hang of it, it's smooth sailing. Plus, the local adjustment tools in PhotoLab are quite powerful. I'd say it's worth giving it a try if you're looking for a new go-to editor.
