What makes you consistent on uploading photos here daily

I know this topic may not be relevant to some people who have been in tookapic for so long but for beginners am sure you understand that its a bit not easy to be consistent on uploading a photo everyday. Your idea might help me you know. What is that that drives you?

Aaron Before I uploaded one a minute too late and my on-site streak ended, it was knowing that I could do it once every two days. This relieved the pressure a lot, because the actual editing/uploading part takes a while if you're doing it every day.

Being gameified into a streak definitely helps, I was really gutted when I did it 'on time' but it didn't count it as on time - I loved watching the days go up!

Paweł Kadysz I think the streak stat helps a lot. Once you get to say 20 consecutive days you just want the number to grow. And once you get to 100 consecutive days you'll do a lot not to lose the streak.

You don't have to upload every day, but it definitely helps getting to the end of 365 project. You can upload 7 photos every week, or 30 every month. But here's a thing. We noticed that if people have a break in uploading longer than 2-3 days they eventually give up on the project completely.

And besides that - knowing that if you want to get better at something (photography in this case) you MUST do it every day - helps as well.

Michał Kubalczyk It's difficult, that's right, but only at the beginning. The most important is to get into the good habit of taking photos every day and after a few weeks you will realize that it's not a problem anymore. I also think that a possibility to print a photobook and keep the memories in your own album is a good streak-keeper. At least for me ;)

tigg For me it was, or is, easy; I want to do it. Photography is my main hobby and I love looking back over my project to see how I have grown and developed. I find the hardest thing is abandoning my family for half an hour or so in the evening to post - I do another daily site as well. Good Luck!

jewels If you keep posting day after day, it becomes quickly highly addictive. The way I see it, is going on a treasure hunt every day! Somedays, you struggle to get even one decent picture, other days you have a few good ones to choose from! Being only able to choose one is part of the interest and the fun. On the logistic side, what helped me tremendously was getting a wifi SD card. This way, I don't need to upload to my computer but can directly post my photo on the go by connecting my camera with my iPhone, and if it needs light editing, I simply do it on Snapseed. That certainly helped me save time :-) Wish you plenty of fun with your project!

davidd I've been on blip for 2000 or so days and sometimes it is a real struggle. The key is to understand why you are doing it. For me I'm keeping a journal of my life with pictures. For others it might be purely for photos. I used to get really hung up on the photo but somedays it really is just the nearest cat ;) Don't sweat it, always try and have a couple of emergency shots you can fall back on.

tigg I find I am far more particular on this site than on blip - do you find that? Blip is a journal, this I feel to be more creative.

davidd I'm not sure, there are a lot of people on blip who are very creative, but there are a lot who write a journal and take a picture (if that makes sense). I think that on here there percentage of creatives might be higher..
