Share your thoughts, opinions and ask for advice what to choose! I'll begin. I'm looking for 135mm M42 with nice bokeh. Should be 2.8 and not very expensive, any recommendations?

tzachmost I need to find this one, is it usually sharp wide open? When I bought my Helios at f/2 it isn't sharp at all (but still usable)

Bartek carl zeis sonnar 135 f3.5 - awesome, crazy sharp wide open, great bokeh, but, as most m42 lens, works pretty bad when there's strong light source in the frame - it gets soapy and looses some of the contrast, so you pretty much shouldnt shoot against the sun

Grace what camera do you use it with?

Bartek i used it with canon 5d, now with canon 6d. I'd post samples but I dont think its possible to add photos here. you can give me your e-mail if you want me to send them

Kazzi @tzachmost remember that a) old lenses are rarely sharp wide-open, because b) film (analog) was much less demanding than a modern, sixteen or more megapixel sensors. I can say more if You want :)

tigg Do I remember right that you work in a camera shop?

tzachmost I know about a), but my Helios is exceptionally blurry if compared to others 😛
Would love to talk to you in person about that, if we'll ever met!

Kazzi Bonarka welcome to, nananananana

tzachmost Bonarka is about hour by tram from me, so I'd need to take Uber, after my finals - for sure!

Kazzi Yes, I do. For over five years

Kazzi Priv me on fb (same nickname, fb.com/kazziz)... Or we'll meet next Saturday 18:00/Sunday 12:00

tigg Oh good ..... best 'weather sealed' wide angle for olympus m 4/3? Ian Prince loves the 7-14mm pro but oh so expensive!

Kazzi and it's the only one wide-angle weather sealed lens for m4/3 for now. PanaLeica 8-18 2.8-4 is coming, was pre-announced at photokina... but it will arrive late 2017.

tigg Thank you. I imagine that it will bear the same hefty price tag! I really want to use it for star trails and at the moment it is often -3 C at least, lens coming in with frost on, so I think I should put my money into a weather sealed one don't you? At some point in time .....

Wojciech Laskowski What adapters do you use? Blades on indefinitely?

tzachmost I have one with focus confirmation, but had to destroy this small chip to use lenses. Now it's simple, aluminium adapter, just screw lens and it's ready to go!

Wojciech Laskowski Jak to zrobileÅ›
