Is it the photo you personally likes, the one that is most liked within the community or just each and every. photo? On the other hand, what would you not make available to sell or download freely? And finally, do you have any success on selling your photos here? There are countless stock photo sites so I'm just wondering how popular tookapic stock is.
agnieszka bladzik i will not put on sale my 'street' photos of random people. If I sell photos of people I have the approval. All of my food photography is for sell. and yes sometimes someone buy sth but not much.

Paweł Kadysz To be honest, we may have missed the pricing sweet spot on our stock photos page. That's why we're changing the way we sell stock photos on tookapic. All of you got an email yesterday. Starting next week all photos from stock.tookapic.com will be available in one simple monthly subscription ($59/mo) and your monthly earnings will depend on few factors (read yesterday's email for all the details).
One of the marketing/web trends for 2017 is "end of free stock photos" and "end of staged stock photos". Photos available on tookapic are unique, taken by real people. They are real, authentic and engaging. Exactly what marketers will look for this year. So I hope we'll sell much more of your photos once we change business model to subscription.
And as for the pics I choose to make available for sale or download - I'm a graphic designer myself - so I sell photos I would use in my designs.
Photos with people I didn't get the consent from, pics that include trademarks or logos should never be made available for purchase. Pics with your own watermark are pretty much useless as stock photos - and we try to remove them from stock page.
One more very important thing is to tag your photos properly - since tags are the main way to discover photos on tookapic. We do have an automatic tagging system, but it's not always enough.
But I don't think there's a particular pic type you should put on sale. And from what I see from our sales - the quality of the photo isn't always important either. You'd be surprised how bad photos do actually sell on tookapic.
