I seem to recall reading Pawel’s thoughts and ideas as to the intepretation of the weekly theme. An inspirational pep-talk, to get the creative ideas flowing. Does that still happen? If that is the case then I don’t seem to be able to find it. The reason I have thought about it this week is that I was puzzled as to how some of the entries could possibly be ‘mobile’. My initial thoughts were that an entry should be of something moving, or a photograph taken whilst I was moving ... but not ‘merely’ taken by a smartphone! It really does not matter of course but I just wondered if I was missing an entertaining and informative narrative!
tigg Thank you very much Marcin. Normally I look on a Monday morning on the app on my iPhone, just in case something comes along before the week progresses too far. Never spotted the "Rules & how to enter"
Kazzi You've missed so much! Read them, they're worth it! :D
agnieszka bladzik but this is one another thing for @Paweł to think of with new version - people do not read that and so sometimes it's confusing what to post in weekly theme or why photo was moderated and removed from weekly theme
tigg I think a lot depends on what page of tookapic you have set as your bookmark too.
nielama Yup, especially this week (checked)
tigg Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Marcin K. @tigg : As you go to themes and click on current weekly theme 'rules & how to enter' you will see:
>Mobile Photography
>June 25th - July 1st 5 days remaining
>Leave your "real' cameras at home this week. For the next 7 days let's take pics >with only our mobile phones. The subject does not matter.
I think this is the reason why people (including me) upload something taken with mobile phone. I do not know what is the exact idea behind this. I guess that "group in power" (:P) wants to embrace mobile photography a little bit to encourage people to join tookapic, even though they do not have a good camera. As there will be more photos taken with smartphones it will be easier to convince people to start the project (actually I started just with my phone and later upgraded a little bit).
It does not sound like a "theme", but it seems to be something new, something interesting.
