Lost my streak ..
But I do not know why! I am sure that I have posted on a daily basis since I started nearly 8 years ago ... but it says my streak is just 233. My photos are not great, I don't get many stars, but my self discipline in posting is good. I am rather disappointed to say the least. (I have contacted tookapic but no reply as yet)
Has this happened to anyone else?
tigg On my phone I can see that you are correct. I can also see that I did post on that day on my other (much longer) journal, Blipfoto. Very very strange if I posted to one and not the other; after all these years the routine is embedded into me ( and my long suffering family) When I am at my computer I will see if there is a picture filed in my “tookapic year 8” folder for that day. Watch this space …..
tookapic You can easily add this photo, but streak will not change. In order to keep streak you need to post photo latest next day till 23.00 London time. At least you will have all photo here.
tigg I have posted. Gutted and upset - I really am. Maybe the prompt to switch off. Yes I realise that this could be considered as an over reaction
tookapic Sorry I can not do anything about it. Probably you also overlooked gentle reminder on your photo page. At least you have all your photo posted with amazing number 2877 days.

When I lost my 1700+ streak over my holiday during all the transitting I was pretty devastated. Decided to just give it up for a couple of weeks (what was the worst that could happen? I lose my streak?). But in the end it's something I really enjoy doing and I came back to it anyway.
Ironically, about a month ago I genuinely did miss a photo, so perhaps it would have happened anyway even without it happening in May.
I still would have been kicking myself though.
I enjoy your photos and would be sad to see you drop off the site!

I lost my streak for the first time during holidays in a not even so remote place on the isle of Skye, Scotland. We even drove to the next village with the idea of using the wlan of the tourist office that day. Without success. It was hard and I was a bit frustrated. But I continued anyway. I lost the streak for the second time wgen I decided to leave Tookapic last year. Which was not a success either 😉 I continued taking pics daily and uploaded them when I returned. Now it's not about the streak number, but about taking photos every day - it's my personal streak, it does not correspond to the streak number.

tigg Yes you are right of course - as you may recall I do Blipfoto as well and I’m on year 11 there. I will get over this loss of streak.
