Just wanted to thank those who are striving to motivate tookapic members but the variety of weekly themes. Some are quite challenging, and the very creative amongst us can let their creative minds go wild. Other themes are more technical biased. And then we have the simple themes, like the colour yellow. Personally I find these themes the most rewarding as all of a sudden we are noticing, not merely seeing. How many times have I seen this hook in a morning, but this morning I really saw and noticed it. "Hooks with shadows"
Thank you one and all.
Lauren Huston I was also thinking about it on the way home today, simpler themes keep me on the lookout for what I might notice in the everyday, whereas if I have to set out to build a photo based on a theme I'm less likely to do it.
I can tell you I passed two yellow trams today and had a lady on the tram with me with a bright yellow jumper. There's a house nearby with yellow sunflowers on their balcony. Melbourne taxis are yellow.
tigg I am very pleased that you read and understood my point. Simple themes make you much more observant and tricky ones more creative. I like the balance.

jazzie 🤗 I like to have different themes. Those that require mindfulness and open eyes, but also those that are not easy and challenge my creativity. Only the former would get boring for me over time, only the latter might become exhausting in the long run.
