Paweł Kadysz I used Lightroom from day one. I use some VSCO presets as base. Then I play with all the sliders. I have my own presets saved for particular kind of photos.

After exporting the image to JPG, I edit it a bit more in Photoshop. Remove the dirt, or unwanted artifacts, sometimes I also edit the color balance as well.

Bridget Braun This it is basically my exact routine, play with the sliders in Lightroom and then bring it into Photoshop for some more touch ups. Glad I'm not the only one!

Paulina M I was using Photoshop for some time and I thought it was good. But then I've found Lightroom and I fell in love. And just like Paweł, I'm using Photoshop only to remove dirt.

Daniel Zaleski DxO Optics Pro with the FilmPack and Viewpoint. I shoot raw and develop all my photos from raw to jpg. No additional photo editing (I am not a pro and I do not sell my photos, normally).

Michael Gatton Lightroom gets things started (I shoot raw), finish off in Photoshop. Lightroom is good for global adjustments on the raw file, correcting overall color casts, tweaking individual color saturation and luminance, etc. Straightening lines works well in Lightroom, as does overall noise reduction. Fine tuning and local adjustments are better in Photoshop, although there are also some fine adjustments and you can do in Lightroom. Skin retouching definitely Photoshop. They're a good combination.

Shenandoah I use Nikon Capture NX-D for RAW conversion and some editing (mostly adjusting exposure if needed), and then I take it into Photoshop for cropping, sharpening, pulling up highlights, and if I need the healing brush for anything.

Eugene Alexeev Capture One is the tool for me with Photoshop existing solely for touch up and using Nik plugins. I only shoot raw.

Paweł Kadysz It looks promising, but 275EUR is kind of steep in comparison to 10EUR/mo for Lightroom & Photoshop.

Eugene Alexeev It is true that their pricing is not cheap. There is a 60 day trial period. What finally got me to switch from LR to C1 was a side-by-side experiment. I took ten or so of my favorite raws (from Fuji and Nikon bodies) and imported them into LR and C1. Then I put the windows side by side and looked. Before any adjustment images in C1 looked noticeably better in terms of color and in some cases contrast. After tinkering and making adjustments I came to the conclusion that both tools work, and that I can arrive at nearly identical images in either. However, when using C1 I was immediately closer to the final result due to their meticulousness in regard to camera profiles. In recent versions (8 and 9) C1 has added some editing tools that don't have counterparts in LR (e.g., Luma Curve, color section to local adjustment mask, etc.)

Alek Jedliński Nice thing is, there is a free version for Sony users. So if you shoot any camera from them, you don't need to pay anything.

mick I've started with Lightroom, but as soon as i got Mac, i've switched to Raw Photos Processor (raw-photo-processor.com/RPP/Ov...). This thing is free and has two unique features.

The first one is "Compressed exposure". It allows you to adjust exposure without losing any information in highlights and shadows.

The second one is Film profiles based on classic films like Kodachrome and Fuji Velvia. These emulations are much better than VSCO and other similar things.

Sheri B I use Lightroom for most of my edits. I want to use Photoshop more, but I haven't had time to go through any of the tutorials. I am supposed to be traveling for work soon, so I'm hoping I can download tutorials for the plane rides. Also, I am very much an amateur and my photography is for my own amusement.

Catherine Singcol Lightroom and Photoshop. But I would want to try other photo editors. Any recommendations?

tigg Oh dear, I am so lazy. I crop and do basic adjustments in Photos (Apple). Wish I had interest in doing more...

Dominik Thomas Gpkt You must start with Lightroom much more fun and you get much more out of your pictures ^^.

tigg I have 'played' with LR. I assume it works with JPEGs, not just raw?

Dominik Thomas Gpkt It works mostly with every type ! Definitley with JPEGs and RAW ! I work just with raw in lr much easier !

Steve Karg I also use free software that is available on Ubuntu (GNU/Linux), so I use GIMP for a lot of photo editing. However, I also use the photo editor on the cell phone which has curves and other adjustments, and also use Google Photos editor when I am only cropping or just simple adjustment. I've also used some Chrome web browser applications such as Polarr, which had some nice sliders for color correction and adjustment.

Kevin Drum When it comes to my 365 photos, I use Lightroom and Photoshop. I have a few presets that I've made, so I start with one of those. I try to do most of my tonal editing in Lightroom since it is less destructive than Photoshop. I then use Photoshop for spot removal, and maybe a levels adjustment. Finally, if I haven't cropped too much, I use a free Photoshop addon by Andreas Resch called Web Sharpener to size the image down and sharpen it in the process.

Alek Jedliński Thanks for recommendation, I will definitely check out the Web Sharpener!

MorryJooh Photography Thanks for that recommendation

Available Light Photography I have yet to dedicate budget to software, so I am still using Picasa. It's light weight, has little by the way of tools or management. I am hoping to get into Adobe Creative Cloud before too long.

Gogi Golzman i'm a lightroom and photoshop junky
i shhot raw only so lightroom is my best friend. but my photoshop is my lover =]
we are together 10 years so... all of my finish ups are in photoshop
