What book helped you to take better photos?

Do you read books about photography? Do they allow you to take better photos? Bo they teach you to how to make better composition, how to say a story, etc.? Please feel free to share with us your experience and interesting titles.

I begin with "Podróżnik fotograficzny" by Jacek Bonecki (as far as I know, it was relased only in polish language). It taught me a lot about photos composition and looking for a interesting view in what at first looks boring.

Jule I read a book called "Photocrafty" by Sue Venables. It shows you new techniques and I've used many of them especially for my first 365 in 2013 :)

Joost van Halm Nice talk subject @Marcin! 50 portraits by Gregory Heisler is a very nice book describing is his techniques and shows ome of his most stunning portraits. Apart from his book, Gregory Heisler is a very nice and humble person. I had the privilege of meeting him and following a presentation of his at the London Gulf Photo Plus.

Jennifer Tony Northrup's "Stunning Digital Photogprahy" book has been reaaally helping me a lot. It goes through the basics of everything as well as more advanced things (to me, at least) and has been absolutely excellent for me as a beginner. It has videos associated as well, which really helpfully show the difference, and all the photo examples are taken by him and/or his wife. For me, this was a seriously excellent investment.

jewels Understanding exposure by Brian Peterson, which I read quite at the beginning of my photographic journey. I found it complete, yet simple enough to grasp the big principles of photography, and full of easy to apply tips and ideas.
