What happens after you've done a year on here?

I'm a good distance away from hitting a year on tookapic myself, but some other users are getting fairly close. What happens after they have 365 photos uploaded here? Can we keep uploading with the number continuing from 365? Does it become 2.001 for year 2, photo 1, and so on? Will there be a new album for the second year? I'm just so curious as to how this will be handled, as I'd hate to be limited to only a year on here! Does anyone have any insights?

Paweł Kadysz You'll be able to continue, of course. We don't know yet how we'll handle the separate 365s. We still have 150 days to figure it out. Right now we're focusing on getting out of beta. Less than 7 days left for that.

But that's an excellent question. If you have any ideas - please share.

Jennifer You guys are making incredible progress, I can't believe it's almost out of Beta! (I honestly kind of forgot it was in Beta since it's so well worked out at this point!) I figured that it had been an idea a bit on the back burner since, as you said, you've got some time to work that one out. I think of the three methods I mentioned originally I would prefer one that distinguishes between first and second year photos, so not the one that simply continues the numbering because it would be harder to keep track of progress through each year. That might be a good way to start off, to have something, but a change would be appreciated at some point.

Shenandoah I actually like that restriction. It was extremely difficult at first, and several times I wanted to put up two or three pictures. But it forced me to start to critically review my photos to determine which I considered the best. Sometimes I put a few others I took on Facebook, which is a better place for general sharing. Although you can also take some of your second and third choices and re-do them on a future day when you're looking for ideas - I've done that a few times, and the re-do is usually an improvement over the first attempt.

Paweł Kadysz This particular restriction will definitely stay as it is. As @Shenandoah said, it forces you to choose the one photo that you really want to represent your day. It really does make you more focused when you're shooting. And also, when you're taking photos, there's this awesome feeling once you can say "Ok, I got it. That's the one."

Ian Prince "What happens after you've done a year on here?"

Well, how about getting your year's work displayed in an art gallery? ;)

Paweł Kadysz This is actually a good idea. Once you complete a 365 of 365 days we could activate a shareable gallery view of your 365 project.

Ian Prince Oh yeah, the gallery project is actually a serious one...so Pavel if you have any ideas for printing I'd love to hear them :)

Ian Prince Not sure if I was clear....I meant a "real-world" gallery exhibition that needs high-grade printing. Not that i don't like the idea of a virtual shareable gallery too!

Maybe there's a printing business tookapic could do a partnership with? ;)

Ian Prince Pavel, a 365 sharable gallery would be great :)

I'd pay for a photo album too, "Shipped from Białystok", how cool that would be!

JudithO yes some collection of your whole project would be great! Guess a "real world" exhibition might be out of reach (but would be cool;) ) but something like a book/poster or something sounds like a nice idea. It could be optional and you have to pay, would think a lot of people would happily spent some money on this!

tigg I miss the 365 books I had through Blipfoto - is that the site you refer to? I've tried to do my last year through another photo book site but nowhere near as good. I would happily pay for a 365 book.

Ian Prince I'd happily pay for a 365 book too :) Only 100 days to go :)

tania Only 100...

Paweł Kadysz We're working on making this possible. We found a print company that will make the books. We're now working on the interface, to make it easy for you to put the book together.

Ian Prince Excellent! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with :)
