Update week 29/2023
Hello everyone
I'm a bit lost in the calculations but certainly a whole month of my new challenge is behind us. Thank you all for your kind and unkind messages. Thanks to this I can see that the work I am doing is needed and noticeable.
What has been done? I will put in points.
Weekly theme - I'm preparing from scratch, the kind that have not yet existed. The covers will display the photo that has won the most of your appreciation. Notification is given to everyone whose photo was used as an example. By the way, it is worth mentioning that if you do not have a photo description or basic hashtags, it is impossible for me to find your photo as an example. On Tookapic we have more than 760000 photos. I look into your photo galleries as well. It is great inspiration for me when creating themes. I encourage you to set up your own, here you can browse through them tookapic.com/galleries I will set up an additional thread where, if you feel like it, you can post your dream theme. My list is quite long, but I will certainly use your suggestions.
Social media works - every day I create a story with photo of the day both on IG and FB. The post on FB is usually about your anniversaries, the theme of the week, introduction of newcomers (after at least of 30 days) but also a photo of the day may drop in 2-3 times a week. On IG the posts appear 2-3 a week and are a bit of a virtual gallery, at least for now. I'm also going to create reels.
I've been able to motivate you to be more active, you're awarding more hearts and stars, you're having bigger discussions on talks and this is so cool and very rewarding.

jazzie I'm happy to feel that something is happening now and more motivated to take part in the community again. I try to get used to give away my stars every evening, but I'm doing it quite anonimously (not directly after giving a like or so) because I don't like stars to be a social currency. They should be given to the pics I like most and not to the people I know best or as a return to stars I got.
Magda Korzewska I am trying the same, sometimes simply forgot when see photo which stołen my heart.

tookapic Starting a project when the service was rather in the dying stages is a very difficult task. The daily motivation you receive from other users is the driving force behind such a demanding project as daily photography. I wish you much joy and perseverance. We are here to support each other.
