Update week 39/2023
Hello everyone,
Time flies, so it's time for a quick update as I promised to keep you informed regularly.

During the Światłosiła Photography Festival, several users had the opportunity to meet up. You can see the photos from the meetup in the gallery (tookapic.com/galleries/4442-to...). Besides the tookawalk, we spent time with @JarekB. It was a very productive conversation where each of us shared ideas for changes in the service.

We had our promotional flyer with a code for a free month of subscription at sales booth in festival venue. The remaining flyers were sent along with goods to Cyfrowe.PL customers.

Article for the Cyfrowe.blog is still in the editing and preparation phase. I will share the link when it's ready.

We have some new users last 3 weeks whom I would like to welcome again and ask for your support. Probably you still remember that the beginning of a project is the most challenging. Please give your "love" to new users:

- The last matter, it's not very comfortable for me to write about it, but since there are only a few of us here, I feel that you deserve to know. Over the past few months, it appears that most of the selected photos of the day were not the result of the entire community's effort but rather a form of abuse. I want to apologize to you for taking so many weeks to track this down. I believe that such a situation will not happen again. I encourage all of you to reward photographers with stars and use all 5 of them during the day.

tookapic I belive there was also some stars from our community. The truth is that numbers of fake (or let’s call it as she friends/family) accounts was enough to have the title without any admiration from community.

uglyphotos I wonder if it is possible to assign the Photo of the Day title back to those who actually deserve it?
tookapic Sorry, I am affraid it is not possible and make also no sense. I still keep all those accounts, to check it.
Hanna Gawrychowska well, maybe at least remove these photos from the week-themes
tookapic Some users do not see deleted account’ s photos, not everyone. This is something for developer to check.

jazzie You can give stars to the five pics you like most every day. The pic with most stars in the end of the day will become the 'photo of the day'

Magda Korzewska If you clik on heart or/and star on the photo you give an appreciation to photo. Second clik you take it out.
Magda Korzewska Hearted ohoto you see in Liked folder, you can give as mamy as you like. Starred photos are in Favourite folder you can give just 5 per day.

120mr Just a thought: maybe FAQ or some kind of a guide book would be helpful to users.

Lauren Huston Regarding your last point, I had suspected for quite a long time that there was something odd about the frequency of the photo of the day awards, specifically with the person in question, but dismissed it. I'm really glad this was picked up and addressed. Thank you!
Otherwise it's noticeable that there's definitely more activity happening on the site. I know I've taken a step back quite a lot over the past 6 or so months due to various reasons, but I'm really happy to see life coming back. :)
