We're not afraid anymore!

I consider tomorrow's photo as the last one, since we had a leap year... but yes, I've done it. I've developed around five hundred photos. I spent last 26 hours by my computer, with around three hours sleep. Created 13 TIFF files, first 13 of my life. Got to know basics of Adobe Ilustrator in two hours and gave it a day from my life. And I'm doing an exhibition of my photos two days from now. Details - at the end of that post.

And since at the end of calendar year I was mostly giving people good wishes, now I'm making a little summary. My Olympus E-M10 Mark II will turn one year old in eleven days, and since tookapic.com/photos/61792 I have released it's the shutter 31,128 times, including 1940 times without image stabilisation (tripods!) and 576 times with flash turned on (mostly for tookapic.com/photos/66250 , since I don't use built-in flash. Ever.). Way too much, we'll work on "less photos - more good photos" next year. The camera has been turned on 5586 times, so I took 5,57 average photos every time it was powered on. Not too bad. And had to visit service centre only because after a countless fall, it's screen begun to disconnect when tilted too far. Fully understandable, don't You think?

I've taken photos in Thailand, Cambodia, Iceland and Hungary, by Polish Baltic Sea and in our mountains, on board of Boeing 777 (three times, six hours each flight), Airbus A380 (one flight, same time) and two Airbuses A320. And lots during over 1700 kilometers (over 1000 miles!) on my longboards I have also attended five editions of Creative Writing Workshops with Loesje, which - next to tookapic - has been the best thing that happened to me this year... but if it wasn't for tookapic's 100th photo (uploaded, 101 taken), I wouldn't have gone to the first ones (tookapic.com/photos/102084).

Thank You, everyone and everybody, fellow tookapicers and tookapicians :) I'd like to include some of You especially and say my thanks - but please forgive me, if I skipped someone who deserves it: @pawelkadysz , because he is the reason of all this... but personally, I'd like to thank him the most for making me understand something valuable: I am a photographer. Denying it means lying to myself, and that's what he said is the worst. To my Girlfriend, Martyna, my little Moose. Second year of tookapicking will include more of Her portraits, I promise :) To @120mr for carefully blowing on my photographic spark years ago while carefully handing me her brand new Nikon D50 she uses since. That spark evolved into quite a nice flame, Sister. Because of this I am who I am now and... I kinda like it, love it, enjoy it. Thank You. To my Friend @kingaroo, who cuts foreheads and captures moments, angles and places I would never think of. I'm so glad You began taking photos daily. To @radsatz and @ianprince for completely incredible approach to photography, and to whole Swiss crew of course! To @magdatko , @ekropka and agnieszka bladzik, one of the first I've followed, for showing the beauty of a daily life in Poland. It's been a real pleasure. To @roman for incredible number of likes, mostly undeserved ;) (You've missed only 63, I'm a bit worried) To all my friends from outside the photography world, reading this. And I have to include that guy especially: to Kuba Purej @qbanez. Dude, what You're doing with Your camera is INSANE. And give me that doge! :D

And last, but not least: to the whole Olympus Poland crew I had a great pleasure meeting, getting to know a bit better or just having a chat with this year: Adam, Sławek, Przemek and Piotrek; also, from around that company: Maciek P., Staszek S., Wiktor F., Kuba K., Marcin D., Rafał and Diana - thanks for inspiration.
