Hi, do you have any favorite youtube channels or learning platforms for basic photography knowledge? There's tones of it and I don't want to pay for something witch is not good. on youtube there's a lot of tricks but I still need a lot of basic knowledge. Thanks a lot for all your help :)
jewels I took a couple of courses with bpsop.com and I really liked them. They are not free, but they offer a lot of choices depending on your photo interests. Understanding exposure is one of their basic courses, which has great reviews, but there are plenty of others.
tzachmost Strange, I stumbled upon it yesterday, too! YouTube algorythm kicked in?
Romanos Kalamatianos Here is a free online course about digital photography alison.com/courses/Digital-Pho...
Romanos Kalamatianos Unfortunately thats true :(
Ian Prince I must be old-school (my kids would say just old) as I've never watched a youtube tutorial, lol.
Ian Prince Maybe, but according to my teenage kids "lol" mean you're a has-been :)

There are 2 sets, with a 3rd on its way. They are rather pricey but have suuuuuper awesome information. Each lesson is structured as taking photo's on location running through thought process, composition, camera settings and why - then into LR and PS using the actual raw files taken.
Very details, I've learned sooooo much. The high price tag was a put off at first, but after watching the fist series I got the second set day 2 and will be getting set 3 the day it releases as well.

First video in the series has been released on youtube. All of the lessions are structured like this. First one is pretty simple, future episodes get into loads more detail

I only read good basic photography book, to understand ISO/LIGHT/SPEED and the interaction between these 3 basics.... and then I took a LOT (yes... a LOT) of shots and evaluate them...
By using your camera often, and never use the AUTO or P mode... I think this is the best school.
But to be honest... since I use Tookapic, I also learn to watch other pictures from this community and ask myself... why does this pictures looks so great!
So, I never look to Youtube channel movies... because I'm not have the patience to do... =-D
