Paweł Kadysz Thanks for the upvote. Yeah, we tried HN couple of times. As well as reddit and Product Hunt. Right now we really need some kind of traction. There was no growth for last couple of months (there was actually, but 5% is close to nothing). So every upvote, mention or share really helps.
Ian Prince That's somewhat dis-heartening to hear about the slow growth, you certainly deserve more traction.
I'll see what I can do to get the word out more, although I have managed to get 3 friends in my network to start and maintain projects :) I'm not a much of a "social network sharer" but for tookapic I'll make an exception :)
P.S. Thanks for sharing info on the web stack. I'm more of a Python an Smalltalk guy myself, but Lavarel seems to be the nicest of the PHP frameworks.

BTW I uploaded a portrait iPhone photo yesterday and it didn't tell me the quality was too low or too small :) I've been trying to get the word out, I have a lot of designer/photographer friends so I share all my posts on Facebook and Twitter, seems to get a bit of traffic TO the site but they don't actually sign up unfortunately :(

Great initiative, especially as HN is basically the only site I visit daily. Besides tookapic of course :)
And if I remember correctly it was through HN (or a link from an article there) that I discovered tookapic back in December.
