Michael Gatton Need more info! If you are happy with the 550 then you can't go wrong with the latest version of that lineage (750D/760D). If you want full frame, the 6D is a good camera for the price. (I like my 6D, but it's a bit heavy for an all-purpose walking around camera, I tend to use it for specific purposes like events and portraits.) If you are thinking about jumping brands or going small/mirrorless, I don't know much about that.

vidalcohen Thanks ! so you are with the 6D ...

Michael Gatton Yes, for me :-) I needed good low-light, high iso performance and I'm already invested in Canon. For the price it was the only real choice for me. In combination with the 85 1.8 it also does dreamy portraits. I don't know what your needs or desires are, which are important in making recommendations.

Kazzi I'd say staying with 750 when You can buy 760 is a pretty huge mistake - but it depends if You like top lcd screens. I'm a huge fan

Satoshi T I reference at your photos, there are many landscape photos during the day time. If you are not take sports, not take things which fast move and now you feel heavy to bring camera and if your budget is a lot, I recommend to consider about OLYMPUS along with the wide-angle closer to the lens to take the plunge. Because Oly. camera and lens is very small and lightweight , many information in finder. they have IS in body! EF 50mm can be used as 100mm with Kipon EF to Micro-four thirds adapter with electronic contacts.
Even though I am a Canon user, but I found it strange to say such a thing ...

vidalcohen Thanks ill check it out.

Richard Morwood I'm with Satoshi, check out the Olympus. I retouched a RAW file from an Olympus E-M10 Mk2 and it was absolutely incredible to work with *swoon* From that one file that camera is now on my potential list when I upgrade later this year.
That it can use your existing lenses with an adaptor is very cool too

Kazzi I strongly advise it!

Kazzi Everything depends if You want to change Your system or rather stay with Your Canon-mount lenses. Sigma 24-70/2.8 EX HSM or EX Macro (old one)?
If You wanna stay with Canon's APS, my top three would be:
3: 70D
2: 760D
1: 80D
and if You want to switching to full frame,Canon has soooooo many cameras to choose from (6D, 5D Mark III and 5Ds/5DsR) that I don't want to interrupt You when choosing 6D.

But IF You're ready to change Your system...
- Olympus OM-D series, preferably my personal E-M10 Mark II/higher model E-M5 Mark II
- Panasonic G series, expecially G7/GX8
- take also a look at Sony A6000, despite lack of not too expensinve lenses in Sony E System

vidalcohen Thanks! I do prefer staying with Canon and I do want to upgrade to a full frame. the biggest problem is the budget....
Changing systems will cost the same as canon 5d mark 3(buying new lenses ), but is it worth it?
Its Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 If EX DG.

Michael Gatton The conventional wisdom applies here - go to a camera store and play around with the different models. See how they feel in your hand. See what electronic viewfinders are like. Compare autofocus speed. Notice how loud the shutter sound is. Compare the layout of the dials. These little things will matter to you in the long run and affect your pleasure in shooting. I can't speak to the image quality issue other than what I read on the internets - namely that all modern digital cameras are capable of excellent quality, but there are subtle differences that may matter to you depending on what your needs are. here are a couple of places where you can compare different models side-by-side:

imaging-resource.com/IMCOMP/CO...
dpreview.com/reviews/bang-for-...

The link to dpreview goes directly to an Olympus comparison - you can change the cameras in drop-down menus, compare different ISOs, compare ipeg vs raw. If you're going to spend a lot of money it's worth it to do the research. Enjoy!
