Questions about Tookapic changes

I notice Tookapic changed it's main accent color from green to blue recently and I was just wondering why? The green was nice and something different since so many websites use shades of blue. If this question has already been answered, please feel free to link me to it!

I was also wondering what the little pro mark on some pictures is all about? At first I thought it meant that the user was a Hero user, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Marcin (tookapic.com/zzmysl) has quite a few 'pro' photos for example.

I couldn't find any other talks about these changes but I might have missed something in my search. I'm personally curious and figured others might be as well.

Ian Prince :) I know how you feel, my E-M5 shutter only works 50% of the time over 1000/th of a second....@Kazzi have you run into this problem at your camera shop?

Kazzi @agnieszka @Ian - nope, not even once... but I strongly recommend taking advantage of Olympus masterclass service, they really rarely make any problems, even after warranty period.

agnieszka bladzik i already have my shutter fixed on warrenty 2 times [they change it last time], now i'm facing blackness of back screen every now and than when i move the screen or sth. hope that next time they will give me new one as i have extdended warrenty. my only hope is to have photos from my holidays in may

Ian Prince Thanks Kazziz. I can't find any reference to the Olympus masterclass service here in Switzerland. Am I missing something?

Kazzi Remember it's about three weeks of waiting time when You send the camera to Olympus service...

Kazzi there are two services in Europe - Czech Republic and Portugal, as far as I remember. But don't worry - it takes about three-five additional days of travel (combined there and back), but the service sends back 90% of cameras in three days from their arrival.

Satoshi T When I went "Olympus service station", I was told that it would be possible to repair one hour for the rubber cover of thumb rest, three days for mechanical trouble. However, here is closed on Thursday ... for reference when everyone visits Japan with Oly.

Paweł Kadysz No app in the world does that (legally). Instagram's API simply does not allow uploads with third-party apps.

Chris Breitigan I think it's mostly for security, so that people can't create spam accounts/apps that continuously post ads or other spam

Chris Breitigan Logging in today was certainly new. But I like it. I like the font because it doesn't seem so boring, for lack of a better word. This is playful and different and I think that's a good vibe for the site

Paweł Kadysz Exactly. I wanted the site to seem more playful. The font needs some size adjustments here and there, but I think makes the site less "serious".

jewels How do you search for a user now? If I simply enter the name in the search bar, I find either photos where the name was mentioned or nothing at all. I am probably missing something :-)

Paweł Kadysz The x ia not for closing the box. It just indicates a missed day. To remove the box - don't miss any days.

Or you can turn it off here: tookapic.com/account/settings but we should probably make it a separate premium feature. $1 per missed day hidden :P

Paweł Kadysz In your (and in my case) it shouldnt show. Yesterday shouldn't be counted as missed. We'll fix it next week.

Mam dwa wnioski racjonalizatorskie.
1. Mam ileś tam osób, które mnie obserwują i ileś tam tych, które ja obserwuję. Ale jak zauważyłem, spora ich część jest nieaktywna. Czy dałoby się zrobić tak, żeby liczniki w profilu pokazywały tylko osoby aktywne? Tzn. na przykład takie, które dodały choć jedno zdjęcie w ostatnim miesiącu. Takie statystyki byłyby moim zdaniem bliższe prawdy niż to co jest obecnie.

2. Czy dałoby się przy tematach rozmówek dodać przycisk pozwalający oznaczyć wątek jako przeczytany albo wręcz ignorowany? Na ten przykład temat o zlocie użytkowników na drugim końcu świata nie jest dla mnie jakoś szczególnie ważny, a i tak muszę w niego wejść, żeby nie wyświetlał mi się jako nieprzeczytany (tak, ja należę do tych osób, których inbox w mailu musi pokazywać zero, bo w przeciwnym wypadku czuję się źle, że czyjegoś maila nie miałem jeszcze czasu zignorować ;) ).

Satoshi T Teraz mamy odznakę dla użytkownika: Hero, Invited, Commenter, seller, 365-finisher ... Myślę, że dla nich dodatkowo, myślę, że jest dobre "aktywne" (codzienne i codzienne ładowanie niemal każdego dnia), aby rozpoznać aktywnego użytkownika :)
