Tookapic Hero

So I just became a Tookapic hero, Yay! I'd like to ask those of you that are heroes as well, what have been your main benefits? I want to really take advantage of this opportunity.

Thanks for your help.

Paweł Kadysz Oh man. I've spent almost an hour trying to figure out how is it possible you're a Hero, and I can't find the transaction details anywhere. And then it hit me. You got the 6-months of Hero upgrade for inviting so many people to tookapic ;)

Back to your question. The features I'm using most are Statistics, Messages and Galleries. But we're now working on some really cool new features for Hero subscribers. Stay tuned!

From what I talked to users - the main reason they upgrade is to support the site and the community here. Keeping the lights on at tookapic costs a lot.

Chris G Thanks, Pawel. I look forward to these 6 months and also like the idea of supporting the site. I've also been happy to be able to invite people to such a great community.

Michael Gatton What Paweł said - " to support the site and the community here." Statistics are nice to see. I need to work on my Galleries, and I've used the messages feature a few times. We also had the AI critique for a while, which was fun to use.

Magda Korzewska What I appreciate is my own, beautiful designed Web page. Easy way to share with friends my daily photo.

Chris G Oh, I like the idea of a web page. But I can't find any information on doing that. Can you point me in the right direction?

Magda Korzewska Go to "my account" and "temples". You can choose from a few option. My looks magdatko.tookapic.com

Chris G Thank you very much.

Ross Yeah, thanks Magda, I had no idea about this neat feature until now.

Chris G Do you know if I can select certain photos to be on my website? Or do I have to have all of my tookapic ones there?

Magda Korzewska I think this is for all, but Let's ask @Paweł

Paweł Kadysz It's for all of your photos.

Michael Gatton @Magda _ Ah, so that's how it works! I couldn't figure it out...thanks!

Paweł Kadysz @Michael @Ross the fact you couldn't find how to use the "website" feature is a very valuable info. If you have any troubles, please - feel free to email support@tookapic.com or use the widget in the bottm right corner.

Michael Gatton Thanks @Paweł, I didn't get the whole "assign a domain name" part of it. Seeing Magda's as an example cleared it up. I'm a little slow...

Chris G Thanks.

FlyteWizard I really enjoy the website feature. I've used it to showcase myself to potential clients. ( photography.dominiquecharleboi... )

I love the gallery feature and the statistics.

Also, I love supporting the community :D I just bought my 2nd year of tookapic hero :D :D

Paweł Kadysz Your tookapic stats only show stats from tookapic.com. Google Analytics will only show stats from your tookapic website.

FlyteWizard @arecki
Google Analytics is free if I remember correctly. I use it on all my websites. For this case (tookapic website feature) you need to get the tracking ID and you can add it to the website feature setup page on tookapic.

Domains are a whole other thing. You first need to register a domain and pay for it. ( ex. dominiquecharlebois.com I own the rights to that domain. OR tookapic.com Pawel owns that right )

In this case, I created a subdomain for my tookapic site. (Subdomains are just extensions of your current site).

If you want more help or if you are still confused, send me a PM. :D
