And where are you going?
Have you gone before?
Do you want to see photos from the past walks? The first few years, Kelby organization was tight with Flickr, and the photowalks left a considerable footprint each time. Lately, the photos are submitted directly to the Kelby hosting site and go into a black hole, aside from the ones that are picked as winners (which are fantastic). Fortunately, participants set up unofficial grassroots groups, both for individual walks and for the cumulative worldwide effort.
Here is the 2016 group: flickr.com/groups/2016wwpw/poo...
Here are 2016 official winners:

Where are the rest of the submitted photos? Kelby has to do a better job at making them available for posterity.
Urszula Stachowicz I've been three times and I'll probably go this year as well. I didn't like last year idea because in our photowalk the police took part - we had an old police car, police officers with horses but I felt it was more focused on this than on walking. But - it's still fun to see that each participant has a different point of view. :)
ponzu I, too, am looking at a "walk" that is centered around a workshop to learn something called pano-portrait. Perhaps it's worth it to learn a concrete new skill?
Urszula Stachowicz It's always a good idea to learn something new. :) To be honest I didn't know this kind of portraits have a specific name. But I like to take photos like this from time to time. :)
Tomek Zimnocho unfortunately there is nothing in my area... on the other hand photowalk in Oxford could be interesting. I'll consider definitely. Thanks for sharing idea :)
edit: no. walk is currently full :)
ponzu You can waitlist yourself and you can still show up because many of those who signed up won't. No one will check your ID/registration, no one will count heads, and you can get all the benefits of the walk albeit without a chance at the prize, because you will not be able to submit your photo to the official site. But with any luck, there will be a group on Flickr where you can share with others.
ponzu You can also start and lead a walk in your area!
Lauren Huston I was considering going (have never been but would like to) but I ended up booking flights to see my mum and dad that weekend for the first time in two years. Was a tough decision though. :)
ponzu Has anyone else made plans to photowalk on Oct 7 with the rest of the world?
