I've been working on a tiny little side project with @Kasper. A live chat widget for community websites like Tookapic. The best way we can actually test it in the real world is to set it live on Tookapic.
So right now the widget is only visible on Talks and on desktop computers (not visible on mobile). If the feedback is positive, we'll make it available on all other pages of the site and on mobile devices as well.
Current version of Alto (that's the name of the chat widget we're working on) only supports one group chat. But if it "clicks", we'll be adding custom channels (could be #analog or #tookabeer channels for Tookapic) as well as private one on one messages between users.
Enjoy!
Kazzi Love it already
Romanos Kalamatianos How does someone send a message in the chat? I can't see an input field. Also no scrolling is available, to see past messages.
Piotr I have the same with Firefox, but in Chrome it works fine.
Kazzi I'd love to have it on a sub-webpage, like facebook messenger - is it possible?
Paweł Kadysz like on tookapic.com/chat ? it's on the roadmap.
Kazzi good. I've checked /chat, /livechat and /minilivechat aliases before I wrote my post :D
Paweł Kadysz you didn't check /superminiextralivechatawesomeness though.
