m71 I found Tookapic by this article ;) it was exactly what I needed to get motivation to restart my photography journey. I faced the same issues as author so it was an impulse to go with Tookapic and challenge myself. For some years I kept my equipment and use only occasionally, now let’s get back on track.

Projekt 365 robiłam długo przed odkryciem Tookapica, sama dla siebie, dla nauki, "do szuflady". Zawsze uważałam to za najlepszy sposób nauczenia się fotografii. Kiedy poszłam na studia mój aparat powędrował do szafy i tak sobie leżał i się kurzył. Niby marzyłam, że zostanę kiedyś zawodowym fotografem, ale nieszczególnie w to już wierzyłam. Wtedy (około 2016 roku) odkryłam Tookapica. Zaczęłam na nowo pstrykać zdjęcia, uczyłam się tutaj od cudownych, kreatywnych osób, a mój warsztat szybko wzrósł <3
Z natury jestem za mało konsekwentna, trochę roztrzepana i wiecznie przepracowana, dlatego nigdy nie udało mi się ukończyć całego roku projektu. Ale zawsze tutaj wracam i jestem dumna z choćby miesiąca prowadzenia projektu. Dla mnie sama droga jest cenniejsza od celu, a za każdym moim powrotem wzbogacam się o kolejne cudowne kadry, nowe wspomnienia i większe doświadczenie! Dzięki praktyce fotografowania na Tookapic kupiłam lepszy sprzęt, później ośmieliłam się fotografować obcych ludzi, zdobyłam pierwsze płatne zlecenia, aż w końcu jestem tu! Zawodowy fotograf, tak jak zawsze marzyłam :D Dlatego uwielbiam to miejsce i chociaż znikam i powracam i za każdym razem mi trochę głupio, że znowu nie wyszło, to uwielbiam tu być na tyle ile jestem w stanie i uczestniczyć w tworzeniu tak pięknego miejsca <3

I have been thinking of coming back to Tookapic. I´ve been there for a long time and I have said goodbye... But... sinds I said goodbye I followed Tookapic on a monthly basis and I think something changes.
I am not sure, but I think of participating again...
Somehow I missed the thought of taking a pic every day, put yourself on hold and focus on one thing; your camera, sometimes beautiful, sometimes lazy, sometimes what??
It gives you a kind of friendship online, all over the world, with people living everywhere.
I remember a Japanees member, living in Tokio.... I remember a bird, flying from Australia to the Netherlands, where I lived at that time. I know I send the bird to Finland, but what happened with the bird? Anyone knows???
That kind of things can keep people together, I think!
I wait a little longer and will decide to be member of this lovely photographing family again...

Mindfulness - a term I never liked (especially the german translation of the word), and now in a conversation with my psychiatrist it turns out that daily photography is my form of mindfulness, which I decided to do more than 7 years ago (because of Darth Vader and because I felt that as an art teacher I should also cultivate an artistic project myself).
She encouraged me to continue the project when I was about to turn my whole life upside down because of a health crisis.
tookapic Jazzie thanks for your openes, this great to hear that Tookapic is a kind of therapy for someone lives.
Basia Na początku 2017r. na facebooku pojawiała mi się dość często reklama Tookapic, przez chwilę pomyślałam, że może to coś dla mnie, bo raczkowałam w fotografii i nie za bardzo wiedziałam co robić z aparatem. Tylko co ja będę fotografować codziennie? Przez pierwsze sto dni budziłam się z przerażeniem, że znów trzeba zrobić zdjęcie.

Magda Korzewska how about me first? i started in november 2015. I was told about Tookapic by my husband that it might be an idea for me because I have been taking pictures forever. I kept 2 cameras, a couple of lenses in a drawer and pulled them out when I went on vacation. I saw Pawel's photos on the main Gazeta.pl website and made an instant decision to arm my little Olympus EP-L5 with a wider lens and start the project. the time in my camera was for the Japanese time zone, so I was surprised why I couldn't post the first photo. it took me about 2-3 weeks to fall in love with Tookapic.
