Faster Themes

Tookapic should do daily themes and weekly themes.

Kazzi In my opinion, weekly themes are already a good idea, and daily themes could have been too hard to follow.
If You want a challenge, You may always try to #taketheleap - Canon Australia launched a nice campaign last year - 30daysofleap.tumblr.com.
It's a really good excercise, @jewels , @Kindzalka and @Grace can confirm - as well as myself. Check out tookapic.com/tags/taketheleap to see our results - and first day of the month is a good day to start!

FlyteWizard Also, with timezones it's really hard to do Daily Themes.
I live in the farthest time zone, I'm behind almost everyone.
Sometimes I go to shoot my Sunday picture, and Monday's theme has already been announced and started.

jewels Absolutely agree! It's a great way to kick start your creativity when you feel like you're always posting variations of the same picture. They also offer the possibility to receive a random brief, just for one day rather than following the full monthly calendar. It's a cool site!

Kazzi And since we are in "weekly themes" subject already, I have another two cents on the issue to mention. With week's theme ending on Sunday, there should be more time to upload a photo from that day with weekly theme tag. I know I can write the tag myself (and - full disclosure - sometimes I do it, since uploading the photo on the same day isn't always possible), but it feels inappropriate in my own head.

FlyteWizard I've done it a few times, because I live in one of the last timezones, but I understand where you think it's not appropriate.

Kazzi well... personally I don't. Everyone has their own approach to Tookapic rules, bending them a little can be considered cheating or... well, rules are to be bent (or even broken), and as long as You don't feel like lying to yourself (and other users), everything should be fine.

It's all about fun and personal development, right? :)

Michael Gatton Any way the deadline can be set to noon local time?

Paweł Kadysz I'm sure there is. But I'm afraid there are many fixes and tweaks with much higher priority than this. I will put it in the "ideas" list though.
