Travelling toy photo project
Would anyone on here be interested in doing a travelling toy project? I have always loved the part on the movie Amelie where the gnome goes travelling. I would like to mail a small toy to someone, and have it travel around for a while and take photos with it and local landmarks and be passed on to a few places before coming back home. Just thought maybe some people on here would want to join in? I thought this was the best place to ask since there are so many people from around the world on here :)
Artur Łobocki I think it's an interesting idea. I also like this theme from the movie Amelie, as well as whole movie. The only question is what kind of toy have you in mind?
Grace I recently picked up a small plastic native new zealand bird figurine at the zoo, and I was going to take photos of it around here when I was stuck for photo ideas.. but then I thought it would be fun for it to travel. But if you have a better suggestion, I'd be up for it.

Jennifer I would love to do this!! Depending on how soon we get going, I could potentially go Korea as well as Boston in the US.

Jennifer Maybe if everyone who's interested could reply to this comment with where they are, and any dates that it will change, we can form a rough plan. So for me, it's Korea until May 11, then Boston, US.

remiremib yep, great project! I've tried it before, but alone I never get it developed so far, I've abandoned the idea... I think you're at the right place to put out a nice series! And Amelie's movie was genius.

jazzie it would be great if there was some possibility to make a gallery to which everyone taking pics of the kakapo could add his pictures. or something like the weekly theme - it should somehow be possible to view all the kakapo-pics together...!

Paweł Kadysz I'd recommend Shutter (shutter-theme.tumblr.com) or Foto (foto-theme.tumblr.com), they're both focused on photos - any other content is only available after you click the photo. We also have a free Royal theme (royal-theme.tumblr.com) which I actually used to run my very first 365 project, before even thinking of creating tookapic (privat.ly).

Paweł Kadysz Sure, you just need to add ?u=9725 at the end of any tookapic link and it'll count as your invite link. I will send you the theme later this week.

Chris Breitigan Just now seeing this post so I hope it's not too late! I would be really interested in participating if possible. I live in Ohio here in the US. It's not really popular/widely known but I would love to be part of this. I completed the Google form so you have my info if you think I could join in :)
Grace Yes not too late :) I'll close the sign up form when it's is closed. Just want to sort of map out a route when so that's why I'll stop accepting participants at some point. Then I'll email everyone details of who they are receiving and sending from..Though it could change in the future depending on people's circumstances. I have started it off though, I've mailed to Australia :)
